The pre-charge time for a MultiPlus-II 48/5000 when using the Pre-charge Cable is less than a second. Larger systems will take longer to pre-charge. The largest system targeted with the Pre-charge Cable is a 3-unit system with MultiPlus (-II) or Quattro (-II). For larger systems, several Pre-charge Cables can be used in parallel, or individual units can be pre-charged and connected to the battery one at a time.

The Pre-charge Cable allows internal capacitors of an inverter, inverter/charger or MPPT to be pre-charged via the DC terminals before connecting the battery. This method ensures that connecting the battery will not result in arcing at the connection point.
